I am Miss Colleen, and I teach the upper elementary grades at Montessori Academy. I am a Montessori certified teacher, with a certificate in Lower Elementary (ages 6-9). I have an Associate of Arts from Rock Valley College, and I am currently attending Northern Illinois University for my bachelor's degree in elementary education. I will also be getting certification for middle school teaching, with endorsements in Language Arts, Science, and Social Science. I started teaching at Montessori Academy in 2009. My husband, Josiah, and I have one daughter, Eliana. We are expecting our second child in December of 2011.
